Located in Armstrong, B.C. the Armstrong Fairgrounds offers one of the most diverse and exciting venues inBritish Columbia. Situated in the scenic north Okanagan Valley, it combines small town charm with a location within one hour’s drive of over 300,000 people in the urban centres of Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernonand Salmon Arm. In addition to the “locals”, Okanagan is also a major tourist destination and boasts one of the most temperate climates in Canada.
Every September over 110,000 people visit our site when we host the Interior Provincial Exhibition, the largest agricultural fair in British Columbia.
On our spacious grounds we have:
Three Separate Arenas:
- A new timber frame single ice pad with 400 fixed seats*
- A dry pad arena that seats 390* with a large meeting/banquet room overlooking the pad
- An indoor riding arena with bench seating for 1,600*
* All the arenas can be configured with additional seating for events, conferences or performances
Outdoor Riding and Performance Venues:
Main performance area with seating for 6,000 (3000 covered) including horse and bull chutes for rodeos
- Secondary performance area with seating for 300
Other Facilities:
- Meeting Hall with commercial kitchen that seats 200 for formal meals
- 155 seat theatre with stage, screen and projection capabilities
- Two 100’ by 100’ “Quonset Hut” style clear span buildings with paved floors
- Numerous washrooms including shower facilities
- 210 horse stalls
- Fully fenced fairgrounds with secure entrances and control points
- Access to large adjacent parking/camping areas
- Smaller indoor show ring for livestock auctions and competitions adjacent to large indoor livestock/horse facilities with stall space for a variety of l-livestock
- Camping facilities with additional kitchens, concessions and washrooms (including showers) located across the grounds
